BMW have announced prices for its 2016 motorcycle lineup
The main premiere of 2016 is the BMW G 310 R, which is the first BMW model with a less than half a liter displacement motor. The price for this model is to be announced later, but the motorcycle itself is expected to go to the dealerships by this summer.
Another anticipated model is the retro style BMW R nine T Scrambler. Its features are a reconfigured motor control unit allowing it to use petrol with a rating of 92. The cost of the basic configuration is 955,000 rub, and for the R nine T Roadster it’s 1,100,000 rub and up. There are additional extras including: a lacquer- coated tank, chrome-plated exhaust pipe, spoke wheels, ACS, white LED turn indicators and a handlebar heater.
The BMW maxi-scooter line has been refreshed significantly. Almost all the models have been upgraded with modernized IVTs and reconfigured suspensions. The basic configuration now features ABS and a roadholding control system. BMW stresses that this has only led to a less than 5% rise in the overall price. For example, a BMW C 650 Sport will cost 750,000 rub, and a C 650 GT – 770,000 rub.
At the end of 2015, popular long-distance bikes, the BMW F 700 GS and F 800 GS, underwent a renovation. Most changes were focused on the design, as they have become more modern and dynamic. Both models are equipped with two-cylinder 798-cc engines and a six-range transmission. The price for the BMW F 700 GS starts at 636,000 rub and 777,000 for the F 800 GS.
Another popular model, the BMW R 1200 GS, now costs 1,100,000 rub in its basic configuration, and the fastest BMW motorcycle, the S 1000 RR, will cost 1,250,000 rub.
Finally, the most expensive model for this year will be the deluxe tourer K 1600 GTL Exclusive. Even within the minimum option pack this model is packed with many options, taking the price up to 2,100,000 rub.
